“We will have 60 volunteers from the community go as a part of CERI to put the Moldovan children in boots. A lot of the children live Cheap Polo Ralph Lauren in orphanages and cannot afford boots so this will help them combat hypothermia and keep them warm,” Gary Huckabay, CERI associate executive director, said.

The CERI volunteers have traveled nike nfl jerseys china to Moldova, one of the poorest countries in Europe, to fellowship with the children and provide the boots but this year’s trip in December has an added bonus.

The 7,300 pairs of winter boots for the orphans in Moldova will come from the Zorile shoe factory in Chisinau which will help the factory workers have a job to do, earn a paycheck and aid the local economy.

It costs $25 to buy and deliver one pair of winter boots and warm socks to one orphan in Moldova so CERI is reaching out for any help they can receive.

CERI has already raised $50,000 for this mission and also received Cheap Michael Kors Handbags a $10,000 grant from a Moldovan foundation which is the first time they have received support from a Moldovan organization. But they still need to raise $122,500 before Thanksgiving.

The funds collected for the Boot Project go entirely to meet the children’s needs even the freight and distribution is paid for by volunteers or special donations.

Additionally, CERI volunteers make the scarves and hats for the children in the orphanages by hand.

“We are very excited about this year’s mission. We have adopted the motto that when we give a child a pair of shoes, we warm two feet and two hearts,” Huckabay added.

CERI’s work in Moldova started over Snapback Wholesale a decade ago when several mission volunteers including Dr. Dearing Garner, who was the pastor at Kingwood First Baptist at the time, saw how the children in the orphanage lived and their frostbite feet.

That next year, the mission trip brought boots and handmade knit scarves and hats for the children and it has continued to grow from there.

CERI focuses on the need for healthy development in children and a successful transition into adulthood, which includes a program to prevent human trafficking of orphans who age out of a program.

They also facilitate the care for impoverished children through child sponsorships and sponsors are encouraged to visit their sponsor children.

They have three mission teams heading to Moldova starting Nov. 30 until Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 through Dec. 15 so they plan to reach as many kids in the orphanage as they can.

“CERI also provides opportunities for volunteers to participate in mission trips which include medical aid, construction projects, educational ministry, and, of course our signature ‘Kids ‘n Boots’ annual project in Moldova,” Huckabay added in an email about the special project.
