Two designers are better than one!

Dean and Dan Caten are identical twin brothers, fashion designers, founders and owners of DSQUARED2, one of the hottest labels in Hollywood.

Born in Toronto, the two moved to New York to study fashion at Parsons The New School for Design, but stayed for only one semester before returning. Finding a financial backer in 1986, they launched their first signature womenswear collection, DEanDAN. By 1988 they had signed on to label Ports International (currently Ports 1961) as creative directors, to bring the company more fashion forward and upscale. In 1991, the brothers moved to Milan, Italy where they worked as designers for the house of Gianni Versace, and denim brand Diesel, the latter of which funded and launched their namesake brand.

Designing both men’s and womenswear, the brothers are known for their electorate runways shows, impeccably cool aesthetic and other course, their famous clientele.

Most recently at Fox’s Cause For Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular event held at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport on Nov. 22, “Dancing With The Stars” judge Julianne Hough cuddled with some furry friends while wearing a bronzed colored Dsquared2 shift dress featuring an embellished neckline.

On Nov. 15, Rita Ora was spotted making her way to a studio in London, England wearing a cherry red Dsquared2 silk blazer and matching trousers from the Spring 2015 collection. The British pop star styled her oversized look with a white bandeau top and Adidas sneakers.

She completed the look with Kurt Geiger ‘Anja’ nude pumps, a simple updo and red lips.

“Modern Family” star Julie Bowen looked like anything but a housewife when she attended the premiere of Disney’s “Planes: Fire & Rescue” on July 15 in Hollywood wearing an ivory sheath dress with a gathered shoulder detail from DSquared2’s Ivory and Black collection. She styled her simple yet chic look with Stuart Weitzman sandals and a white clutch with gold hardware.

Ashley Greene was white-hot at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars on March 2 in a head-toe-toe Dsquared2 look, including a mid-length dress, strappy black sandals and jewel broche from the label’s AW14 Capsule collection Ivory and Black.
